We live in a time when a person can check sports scores, trade stocks and have a face to face conversation on a phone. Every week new inventions cut the amount of time it takes to complete tasks. Some things like paying taxes and working out legal issues are still quite complicated, though.
Divorce, for instance, can take a long time to finalize as it may entail dividing assets and calculating child support and alimony payments. However, Massachusetts couples can now take advantage of a new app for their iPhones that will help them through this complicated process.
The app allows couples to calculate alimony payments by inserting the necessary information. Alimony payments may depend on many factors such as each spouse's income and the length of the marriage. The app can also create a child support form in PDF format. This new option for calculating alimony payments may be a useful addition to a couple's research of alimony or spousal support.
While this new option for calculating alimony payments is likely very convenient for divorcing couples, consulting an attorney may still be necessary as additional factors could influence alimony payments that the app might not understand. By consulting the alimony app before visiting an attorney, the couple may be more informed about how alimony payments are calculated.
Divorce is likely a very stressful and confusing time in a person's life. Juggling kids, work, and finalizing a divorce probably takes up much of a person's free time. Having an iPhone app like this might save time otherwise spent researching alimony payments on various websites. This additional time could be spent with one's children or planning for the future.
