Have you considered hiring a divorce coach?

Couples in the midst of a divorce likely have a list of people to contact and accounts to manage, among many other things. Most couples will plan to contact an attorney to help them through the divorce process and some spouses may also choose to see a therapist during this time of change. It may be helpful to add one more professional to this list of people who can be valuable resources during a difficult divorce.

Divorce coaches are less commonly known than attorneys and therapists, but they provide separating couples with many useful services. When family members and friends have heard everything about a person's divorce and the person cannot continue sharing every horrible detail with these people, divorce coaches can offer a listening ear.

These coaches can also often help spouses work through dividing their finances and managing tasks like taxes and child support issues. Divorce undoubtedly will require a lot of paperwork and a divorce coach may be able to help a couple sift through all of these papers and understand what needs to be completed and by when.

Processing a divorce can take a lot of time and energy. Being aware of the challenges associated with divorce and having someone to help work through these challenges may be very beneficial for couples.

Couples who have just decided to divorce may wonder what step they should take first or what type of attorney may be most compatible with them. Approaching a divorce can be a confusing time. When people need to work through complicated tax issues, they contact an accountant or a tax attorney. So, when couples need to work through a divorce, a divorce coach and attorney may be the best resources available.
