High asset divorce: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt call it quits

Going through a divorce is a situation that could affect any married couple. Even celebrities are not immune to facing relationship difficulties that could lead to the ending of their marriages. However, when these relationships end, the individuals involved will likely face high asset divorce circumstances, which could lead to complications. Of course, celebrities are not the only ones that could face such circumstances.

Massachusetts residents may be interested in one high-profile couple whose divorce case just opened. Angelina Jolie reportedly filed for divorce from husband and fellow actor Brad Pitt. Jolie cited irreconcilable differences when filing the divorce petition. The couple has been married for two years and have six children. Jolie is currently seeking full physical custody of the children.

In addition to custody desires, it was also reported that Jolie has already indicated that there is certain property she would like to keep in her possession. Among the desired items are jewelry, personal items and earnings from the date of separation onward. The couple's total net worth or asset valuation was not given in the report. It was also not mentioned whether the couple had a prenuptial agreement.

Though many individuals may feel as if Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are far from the average couple, their situation is one to which many individuals may relate. High asset divorce cases can be difficult to navigate, and Massachusetts residents who are facing such conditions as part of their separation proceedings may wish to ensure that they are moving forward in their desired direction. Consulting with legal counsel could help interested individuals work toward particular outcomes.
