Father hopes to resolve international custody dispute soon

Many Massachusetts residents likely understand first-hand just how frustrating child custody arrangements can be. Each parent likely wants to spend time with their child and if the parents do not live near each other this can be quite difficult. One father understands quite well what it is like to not get to see his one's child for a significant period of time due to a custody issue.

The Texas father last saw his almost-four-year-old daughter two years ago when she was just a little toddler. He and the little girl's mother, who was his fiancée at the time, went to the United Kingdom on a family trip. The mother, who is a British native, then stayed there with the little girl and did not return to their Texas home.

Now, the father claims new evidence suggests the mother planned to kidnap the little girl with the help of others and keep her in Britain. He is waiting to present his case to a higher appeals court in Texas as his case has already been ruled against twice.

This father just wants to see his little girl again. He says he hopes the issue will be resolved soon. This father does not appear to have done anything wrong in caring for his daughter. Should he suffer by not getting to see his daughter grow up because of her mother's actions?

Determining custody disputes can be complicated, since many people often want to have a role in the child's life. Consulting a family law attorney experienced with custody disputes may make all the difference in resolving a dispute quickly.
